Supreme x Futura Skateboard Deck Olive: The Collector’s Guide
Why does a sold-out Supreme deck still show up at retail price? Because “sold out” and “rare” are not the same thing, and the Supreme x Futura skateboard olive proves it.
The Supreme x Futura skateboard olive belongs to the SS24 collection, which Supreme dropped on February 15, 2024. It retailed at $60 (about €53) as a full-dipped Supreme skate deck with printed graphic on top and bottom. The deck carries Futura’s instantly recognizable handstyle alongside the phrase that defined the season. Futura has collaborated with Supreme consistently since the beginning, so it made sense to see the New York City graffiti legend grace the brand’s first seasonal collection marking its 30th year. Still, serious collectors argue over whether olive deserves wall space or a pass. This guide settles it.
Supreme x Futura Skateboard Deck (Olive)
This skateboard deck features original artwork by Futura, rendered in a signature olive colorway. The deck is crafted from 7-ply Canadian maple, it’s ultra-durable and responsive. Its mellow concave design provides optimal control and stability.
Myth #1: “The Supreme x Futura Skateboard Olive Sold Out, So It Must Be Rare”
This is the most dangerous myth in streetwear collecting. Sell-through speed tells you about demand at launch. Scarcity tells you about long-term value. They often diverge sharply.
Supreme releases hundreds of skateboard decks over the years, often dropping multiple deck designs per season. The olive colorway sold through Supreme’s webstore quickly, but Supreme decks at the $60 (about €53) retail price point move fast because the barrier to entry is low, not because units are severely restricted. Supreme skateboard decks typically retail for around $50 to $66 USD (about €45–59), though special artist collaboration decks and sets may be priced differently. That pricing tier attracts impulse buyers, fashion resellers, and actual skaters simultaneously, which floods the market fast and creates the illusion of scarcity.
Moreover, the secondary market tells the real story. The Supreme Futura Skateboard Deck Olive currently shows a lowest ask of around $108 (about €96). That is roughly 80% above retail. However, compare that to the SS22 three-piece set, where the Supreme Futura Skateboard Deck Set Black commands a lowest ask of $474 (about €425). The set commands multiples because it carries genuine scarcity and charity provenance. The single olive deck? It trades modestly above retail. That is a solid but not extraordinary premium for a collector piece.

What “Limited Edition” Actually Means Here
The olive variant measures 8 x 32 inches (20 x 81 cm), features original artwork by Futura, and carries a limited edition designation. Supreme never officially publishes production numbers for standard season decks. Because of this, collectors must read secondary market depth instead. Shallow bid depth and slow sales velocity suggest available supply still exceeds active collector demand. The olive currently fits that profile.
Myth #2: “Futura Is Just a Streetwear Brand, Not a Real Art Investment”
This myth underestimates one of the most consequential figures in urban art history. One of the most distinctive features of Futura’s work is his abstract approach to graffiti art. While most graffiti artists in the 1980s focused on lettering, Futura pioneered abstract street art. That pioneering position matters enormously to collectors and institutions alike.
Some of the most credible fashion houses, hip-hop stars, and streetwear brands have collaborated with Futura Laboratories, generating serious credibility. The range includes original prints, skateboard decks, tees, caps, and figures, and much of the Futura 2000 range remains limited and collectible. Furthermore, Futura’s institutional crossover credentials extend beyond streetwear. His work appears in serious gallery contexts, and gallerists like Signari Gallery list his Supreme deck collaborations as fine art objects.
First, consider the broader art toy and collectible market context. The global art toy market faces headwinds in 2026, but blue-chip artist collaborations with Supreme retain a loyal, dedicated buyer base that stabilizes floor prices. Second, Futura’s abstract aesthetic ages better than character-driven IP because it does not depend on a franchise staying culturally relevant. The art speaks for itself across decades.
Rare Inventory Recommends: Collector-Grade Wall Art
If you want Futura-adjacent collectible wall art that carries real provenance, consider the Orange Wind Print X Mr Signed Edition of 300 at Rare Inventory. A signed, numbered edition of 300 delivers the scarcity metrics the olive deck cannot match. Additionally, the The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg Skateboard by Takashi Murakami offers a direct comparison point for serious skateboard-as-art collectors. Both ship across Europe from France.
Myth #3: “The Olive Colorway Is the Weakest in the SS24 Futura Range”
Most collectors instinctively prefer black or silver because those colorways photograph better and match traditional Supreme branding. However, this assumption ignores how the art toy and collectible market actually values colorways over time.
Colorway Comparison: SS24 Supreme x Futura Decks
| Colorway | Retail Price | Secondary Market Ask | Premium Over Retail | Collector Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Olive | $60 | ~$108 | +80% | Undervalued, available |
| Black | $60 | ~$100+ | +67% | High demand, common pick |
| Silver | $60 | ~$140 | +133% | Strongest premium, scarcest |
The olive sits at approximately $108 (about €96) while the silver colorway commands around $140 (about €125). Silver leads on premium, but olive actually outperforms black. Moreover, olive as a colorway carries a specific cultural weight in 2026. Interior design trends in 2026 emphasize muted, earthy tones prominently in home display contexts, and collectors who display decks as wall art find olive integrates more naturally into contemporary interiors than stark black.
In contrast, the silver deck peaked early and trades on novelty. Olive builds slowly. For long-term holders, that slow build pattern historically produces more durable appreciation.
Myth #4: “If It’s Still Available, Serious Collectors Have Already Passed”
This myth conflates velocity with quality. Fast sell-through indicates hype. Sustained availability at fair prices indicates an opportunity window that patient collectors use to their advantage.
Why Availability Persists for This Deck
First, the SS24 season produced a wide assortment of Futura-branded items. Supreme dropped multiple deck designs per season. Collector attention spread across the full SS24 drop, including apparel, the Futura Box Logo tee, and the three-piece set. Because of this fragmented demand, individual deck colorways receive less focused collector attention than set pieces. Second, European collectors face currency conversion friction that suppresses secondary market bidding outside North America, keeping prices softer in EUR terms.
Additionally, the secondary market for Supreme skate decks operates on a slower cycle than sneakers or trading cards. Unlike sealed trading card booster boxes, where pull-rate speculation drives immediate price spikes, skateboard deck prices compress during the first year and appreciate as surviving mint-condition examples thin out. Most olive decks bought by casual buyers eventually get skated, opened, or stored improperly. The pool of PSA-eligible, sealed, shrink-wrapped examples shrinks every year.

Myth #5: “Supreme Deck Collecting Is a Niche That Will Fade”
Supreme collaborated with artists like KAWS, Damien Hirst, George Condo, and Jeff Koons on limited edition skateboard deck designs that have become highly collectible. That track record extends back decades and shows no signs of fading. Moreover, the art toy sector navigating headwinds in 2026 actually strengthens the case for Supreme x artist decks, which sit at the intersection of street art, fashion, and functional objects, giving them multiple collector audience bases to draw from simultaneously.
Similarly, Medicom Toy and Good Smile Company demonstrate that artist collaboration objects sustain collector premiums over decades when the underlying artist has genuine cultural credentials. Futura’s credentials are unimpeachable. His work with Nike SB, his gallery placements, and his three-decade relationship with Supreme place him firmly in the canon. Above all, the olive deck represents the most accessible entry point into that canon at current pricing.

Frequently asked questions
Are collectibles a good investment overall?
Yes, with discipline. Collectibles tied to verifiable artists, limited production, and established brand equity consistently outperform inflation over 5-10 year holding periods. The Supreme x Futura skateboard olive fits that profile because both the artist and the brand carry institutional credibility. However, condition is everything: a mint, sealed example will always command a premium over a deck that shows edge wear or has been removed from shrink wrap. Treat storage as part of the investment.
How do I know if a Supreme deck is authentic?
First, buy from trusted sources that offer certificates of authenticity and sealed original packaging. The Supreme x Futura skateboard olive ships in original shrink wrap, which functions as the primary authentication marker for this price tier. Additionally, the deck should display the correct 8 x 32-inch (20 x 81 cm) dimensions and the full-dip colorway consistent with Futura’s SS24 production. Third-party authentication services handle Supreme decks, but for pieces in this price range, provenance documentation and sealed condition provide sufficient assurance.
Is the olive colorway worth more than the black version long term?
Olive currently trades at a higher secondary market premium than black, which surprises most collectors. Moreover, olive benefits from lower casual collector interest at launch, meaning fewer units circulate in poor condition. Over a 3-5 year window, muted colorways with genuine artistic merit tend to appreciate more steadily than the “obvious” pick in any collaboration. The black deck is the first choice for casual buyers and therefore suffers from higher supply saturation.
Does grading a Supreme skateboard deck increase its value?
For decks in the $100-150 (about €89–135) range, PSA or BGS grading costs represent a significant percentage of total value, so grading makes economic sense only when you expect the piece to appreciate meaningfully above current market. The Supreme x Futura skateboard olive sits at a price point where grading is premature today. Instead, focus on acquiring sealed, shrink-wrapped examples now and reconsider grading once secondary market asks exceed $200 (about €180), at which point a PSA 10 grade creates a genuine tier-one premium.
